Going to Oma & Opa's House

Peyton and Isabella went to their grandparents house a couple of weekends ago for a visit while Daddy took Mommy to get some "sleep." (Naomi was there and was not very cooperative but I did get a little bit of rest.) While they were there they went to the neighbor's house to visit some of the animals. Here are some pictures to see...
This is the bottle used to feed the calves. I can't believe she put it in her mouth. Oh well!!Peyton was so excited to ride the horses but Isabella looked a little hesitant.

Pretty Girls...

Here are our girls...

Isabella decided that she wanted to put some make-up on like mommy does sometimes. Of course she did it without mommy knowing until Peyton found her.(I thought she was playing in her room!) She really wants to grow up fast.

We went and took Naomi's pictures last month. They turned out great but didn't scan well.

Potty Training and The Beach

I know you would ot normally put these two together...but for us we have to. Isabella started toilet training last week. She has done a great job and we are so proud of her. But it does become challenging when you go to the beach with a child learning to use the toilet. As you know it is always a super long walk to a bathroom...well, I was not going to make the trek. So I consulted Scott hoping he would gladly volunteer for the task ahead. He amazed me by saying, "its time to teach her how to use the bathroom at the beach...in the water." Well I listened and so did she. She got so excited and said, "I went potty in the water!!"

It was quite cute to see her get excited over silly things. Lets hope that she can understand that going potty in the water is only at the beach!

Happy 4th Birthday Peyton!!

Wow!! We can beileve that Peyton is already four years old. He has come a long way from his birth and it has certainly been fun watching him learn and grow. We celebrated his birthday with his grandparents in Apple Valley on Sunday when he got his new bike. On Monday we went to the beach and had fun as well. Happy Birthday to my "big" little guy!! :)

Playing, Fourth of July, & Vacation

A couple of weeks ago we went to a Renaissance fair that was put on by some friends of ours. It was so much fun to see the different acts and do some fun things. Scott and Peyton managed to be a part of some organized games without me being there :( I got a picture from a friend of Scott having fun!!

As you can see, Scott was having a fun time!!

Peyton after he played the games as well. There was a smaller one for the kids.

Isabella enjoyed checking everything out and playing in the dirt with a Grandpa.

Forth of July was exciting for our family! We got to spend the first part our day with church family playing Ultimate Frisbee. Scott decided that this was a great day to re-injure his knee and have fun at the same time. Although I would not put that combination together. ;) While Scott played the kids had fun on the swings and also attempted to play as well. They are still a bit to small. We also got to visit with some friends from San Jose, The Riding's Family. We really had a great time with them the whole weekend. In the evening we enjoyed the fireworks in Quartz Hill at a house that overlooks that valley. It was beautiful. Our children really liked watching and actually watched them with Don and Marva Clark from church. Isabella really took a liking to Uncle Don. Thanks Sheldon Family for inviting us!!

Peyton and Isabella wanted to do some stretching with Scott before the game. I thought these were cute pictures.

What does any sweet baby do on a holiday away from home? She was still sweet enough to take her nap at the game even though it was way hot outside. I know you can see her but she's there. That blanket helps keep her pacifier in her mouth and she seems to like to hid her face when napping. She does this often at home.

Finally, the last few weeks ended with a short vacation to a place called Mountain Lakes Camping Resort in the San Bernadino Mountains. It was actually quite fun. Scott and I did forget one small detail about this place and that was this: The cabins did not have air conditioning. :( We had only been here once before so this small detail would of been nice to remember so we could of brought extra fans with us. Oh well! We spent time relaxing and did lots of swimming. Scott's parents were there as well so we spent some time with them too. During vacation we decided that we would make our kids like swimming. We went in a couple times a day and pretty much forced them into the water and because of this they now like to swim. Hoorah!!

Scott, Peyton, and Grandpa spent half a day fishing as well while Isabella, Naomi and myself went down the mountain and spent time at Target getting a few things we needed. All we really wanted was to be in some air conditioning. :) We also headed down another time to the Mall in Ontario and to the movies to see Kung Fu Panda. This was lots of fun! Because of the movie, everytime we drive by Panda Express Peyton says, "Hey look! It's Kung Fu Panda Express!" What a sweet boy we have!

Well, that ends our adventures for the last few weeks and now we are back to normal life. We loved having a vacation but there is noting like being at home too!!

This is the catfish lake. There is a trout lake as well.

Peyton wanted Scott the be a shark!!

Naomi in her hat :)

Thanks to a great husband who knew we needed a few days away together as a family!!
